Awards and Recognitions at the Flicorno d'Oro

The Flicorno d'Oro, one of the most prestigious international band competitions, honours musical excellence through a wide range of awards dedicated to both professional and youth ensembles. Each year, the finest bands compete for trophies and special prizes that celebrate artistic quality, conductorship, and the talent of the next generation.

Flicorno d'Oro Trophy

The highest distinction of the competition. Awarded to the band achieving the top score across all categories — Third, Second, First, Superior, and Excellence — with a minimum of 90 points.

Flicorno d'Oro Educational Trophy

Reserved for the best youth ensemble among the Next and Advance categories, with a minimum score of 90 points. The trophy is sponsored by the Department of Education, Culture, Youth and Equal Opportunities of the Province of Trento.

Innsbrucker Promenadenkonzerte Award

Awarded to the highest-scoring band (minimum 90 points) in the Superior and Excellence categories. The prize includes an invitation to perform at the Innsbrucker Promenadenkonzerte, with participation costs covered.

Category Awards

A ranking is drawn up for each category, and the top three finishers receive musical instruments provided by Yamaha Music Europe. Special Awards The Organising Committee may grant additional recognition to bands or conductors who have distinguished themselves through interpretation, originality, or artistic merit.
